Spring
Blossoms blooming From tree To tree like leaves from Autumn trees But Autumns over Spring is here All the flowers are beautiful and clear Autumns over Springs here Blue bells sprouting on the damp ground Shining proudly in the sun But summers over Springs here Like summers near Summers over springs here Kofwi flowers Dangling in The sun Like tiny icicles Gazing at sunlight But winters over springs here Springs here summers near.

Salmon Science
We have salmon in our class. They are fry the third stage of their life. We have to feed them and check the ammonia everyday. Some die though, sad for them but interesting for us. When a salmon dies we suck it up in a tube and wiggle it around to see if it is still alive. Then if it is dead we throw it down the sink. We are starting to feed them a pinch of crushed salmon food.

Piper is dragon and a snow leopard, Joseph is a cuddly hedgehog, Mishca is human and I am the Greek god of the sea Poseidon. One of the seats aisle low and can be a bed the other two are just normal seats.
Concrete Poems
We have been writing learning from Sharon Creech who wrote Love That Dog. In the book a boy called Jack learns to write poetry by reading lots of different styles. Today we used a concrete poem called The Apple by CS Rigg. We tried to make our words build a picture two ways, with the shape and with the words we chose.

Salmon
The first time I saw the salmon I was excited I just couldn't wait to see them when they hatched and before I knew it they were hatched. Now they are fry and there is some bad news for you well you know when I told you about the salmon as eggs some of them died and lots of them have died. Yesterday when I went to test the salmon Isabella and I sucked out 6 salmon from the tank. Six is a lot of dead fish from the tank there is not much of them left in the tank Mrs Donnelly told Peter.
Salmon

Survivor Alevin
Today we explored the obstacles that Alevin have to overcome to survive once they hatch. We used creative movement and tag to simulate the hazards and predators that the Alevin face. Now we understand how lucky they are to survive!
Swim Bladder Investigation
Yesterday we used some film canisters and plasticine to investigate how salmon can stay afloat in the water. It was challenging trying to get them to float under the water but not touching the bottom!
Our Fish
Our fish Room 6 have salmon. The amount of salmon we have is 52 left. We have to test them otherwise they will die, this is how you do it. You first put 7 drops of testing liquid in and then you do the same thing again. Then suck out the dead salmon and then you are done. We named one squiggly because he squiggles, they are funny to watch once they eat.
